Question 1

Does this guide cover planning a reunion with old friends?

Accepted Answer

Not quite. This guide is about building a new social circle in Dhaka, the kind of gathering sometimes called a meet-up, a mixer, a social, or simply a community event, for people who don't yet have an established circle here. If you're looking to reconnect with people you already know, an old batch, an old neighborhood, old colleagues, our complete guide to reunion planning in Dhaka covers that instead.

Question 2

Can Look N Feel plan a private social gathering for embassy or international organization staff, and does it require government approval?

Accepted Answer

No government approval is needed for the kind of gathering covered here. We coordinate venue, logistics, and catering for informal, off-duty gatherings. Formal protocol functions requiring official approval are a separate category, handled by each mission's own protocol office, not something we plan.

Question 3

How do you handle a group with different dietary needs, including halal and vegetarian guests?

Accepted Answer

This is planned for from the start of any mixed-group event, not adjusted afterward. Menus are built to work comfortably for the full range of dietary and religious needs in the room.

Question 4

Is this suitable for a small, informal group, or does it need to be a large event?

Accepted Answer

Small, recurring, informal gatherings, think a monthly dinner or mixer for fifteen to twenty people, are often more effective for building community than a single large event, and we plan for that scale just as carefully. A short series, planned once and repeated monthly or quarterly, tends to build a real circle faster than any single evening can.

Question 5

Can a foreign student group on a limited budget still work with a professional planner?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Student gatherings are treated as a distinct, lighter-touch offering, built around frequency and affordability rather than scale, since the social need here is usually about building a circle quickly rather than marking a milestone.

Question 6

What makes Look N Feel suited to planning for an international audience specifically?

Accepted Answer

Since 2016, a significant share of our work has involved coordinating across distance, culture, and language, planning for NRB families abroad, and now for the international community living in Dhaka. Mixed-culture, mixed-language rooms are a routine part of how we plan, not an exception.

Question 7

Can you coordinate an event for a group that doesn't speak Bangla or isn't familiar with local customs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Bridging that gap is one of the specific things this kind of event needs. We plan logistics, communication, and format so that no one in a mixed-nationality room feels like the outsider at their own gathering.
